Organized in 1983, Nolan County Crime Stoppers is a registered, non-profit charitable organization structured as a working alliance between members of the community, local media, and various law enforcement agencies. The purpose of this program is to encourage citizens to assist law enforcement in fighting crime through anonymous tips.

This is achieved by overcoming the two key elements that prevent community involvement: fear and apathy.

Fear is overcome by allowing citizens to remain completely anonymous. Apathy is overcome by the fact that tips leading to an arrest and charges filed are eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.

Nolan County Crime Stoppers provides a telephone hotline (325) 235-8477, Web Tips (web-based tip submission) and the ability to accept text messages to encourage citizens in the community to volunteer vital information about crimes (past, present and future). By maintaining complete anonymity, Nolan County Crime Stoppers can forward the information you provide to the appropriate law enforcement agency.

No matter how citizens wish to communicate, they will remain completely anonymous (no names, no faces, no hassles).

This message is shared daily with the citizens due to the kind support of the local media.  Without the media's donated air time and print space, Nolan County Crime Stoppers could not succeed.

Crime doesn’t pay, Nolan County Crime Stoppers does!
